Salary Range: $99,000 To $115,000 Annually

The Opportunity

This position is responsible for managing the project planning, expense management, design and development of visual and multimedia elements that support learning experiences online, virtually, and in person through Great Clips University and for the company as a whole.


Your Mission

On your journey, you will face challenges such as:

  • Develop project plans and manage visual/multimedia projects to ensure the end product meets the owner’s objectives, the user’s needs, and has a positive impact on the system. This includes planning and managing large- and small-scale projects including scoping, creating a comprehensive project plan, budgeting, expense management, resource allocation and management, design, development, tracking, PPA, studio production, release planning and communication.
  • Manage the Visual Design team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of visual/multimedia elements that support learning experiences, courses, programs and related materials to develop the skills, knowledge and abilities required to support the Great Clips system. This includes managing the visual design process, doing graphic design, and managing outside design contractors.
  • Manage the presentation design process for all corporate meetings and events. Coordinate design assignments with the team and contractors, develop event templates, work with presenters to design PowerPoint decks to support their message, attend run throughs and rehearsals of presentations, and coordinate onsite updates with the event team and/or production company. 
  • Manage the development of overall event style guides, all collateral and the presentation review process for all corporate meetings and events including our annual Convention, annual business meetings, learning conferences[KC1]  and other events as assigned. Partner with the assigned event producers, lead the design process of all visual elements including project planning, resource allocation and management, vendor/consultant management, design, development, tracking, studio production, and printing. 
  • Work closely with the Instructional Design team to ensure visual elements are readily available to support instructional development.
  • Ability to listen, earn trust, and accept direct feedback from executives and franchisees while building strong, positive relationships.

Your Expertise

To land this job you will need to demonstrate, and/or possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field preferred, 5+ years project management experience, and 5+ years of experience in managing the visual design process, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
  • Skills in designing and developing visual elements that aid in communication and learning, are understood by the audience and are creative and stimulating. 
  • Knowledge of and skill in using the design and layout features of the Adobe suite as well as software applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Storyline, Camtasia, and Captivate a bonus.
  • Project management experience including scoping, budgeting, resource allocation and management, project planning & tracking, release planning, and vendor/cross-functional team management.
  • Skill in identifying resources, collecting and reviewing pertinent information, and using this information to develop stimulating visual elements.
  • Knowledge of the budget planning and review process; ability to interpret budget reports and provide explanations for variances.
  • Ability to use correct and consistent grammar, punctuation, semantics, and style in all written communications.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.


Your Work Environment

This is a hybrid work position requiring a combination of in-office workdays and the option to work from home on the remaining days. Working remotely will require reliable, secure internet.

Ability to travel as requested (less than 10%) and work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
