Data Systems Administrator III Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington, Minnesota
Job Location
Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington, Minnesota
Opportunity
Salary Range: $100,000 To $115,000 Annually
We are seeking a Data Systems Administrator III to join our evolving data and technology team at a critical stage in our enterprise data journey. In this role, you’ll shape both the design and hands-on implementation of our emerging Customer Master Data Management platform, along with data governance capabilities.
You will be responsible for designing and building the foundational components of our customer data ecosystem — with a particular focus on our Informatica MDM SaaS platform, with real-time API integrations with critical systems including Point of Sale (POS), mobile apps, and web platforms. You’ll participate in all stages of design and development, helping guide enterprise data strategy while owning technical delivery to bring it to life.
As our organization grows its MDM and data governance capabilities, your work will ensure we make smart, scalable decisions that reduce rework, accelerate business value, and avoid the costs of federated ownership. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on leader who thrives in early-stage environments and wants to design and implement effective solutions.
Your Mission
On your journey, you will face challenges such as:
- Design, build, and scale enterprise-grade MDM solutions that serve as the foundation for trusted data across domains (e.g., customer)
- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to define data requirements, architecture, and integration models that align with enterprise goals.
- Configure and implement Informatica MDM components including match/merge logic, survivorship rules, stewardship workflows, and golden record creation.
- Develop real-time API integrations between the MDM platform and business applications — including Point of Sale systems, iOS/Android apps, and web platforms — ensuring consistent and timely master data delivery across channels.
- Lead the technical design and implementation of stewardship workflows and data governance enablers.
- Provide support for business applications using customer data
- Collaborate with governance and analytics teams to define and enforce enterprise-wide standards for data quality, access, and ownership.
- Create and maintain enterprise and domain-specific data models, metadata definitions, and reference data standards.
- Properly document all relevant artifacts.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to cross-functional teams, helping to grow enterprise data maturity.
- Work in Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, Informatica C360, and other platforms to deliver high performance, scalable data flows and integrations.
- Stay current with evolving tools, technologies, and best practices in MDM, data governance, and enterprise data quality.
- Ability to listen, earn trust, and accept direct feedback from franchisees while building strong, positive relationships.
Your Expertise
To land this job you will need to demonstrate, and/or possess the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Master Data Management, data analysis, data engineering, software engineering, or enterprise data platform delivery.
- Hands-on experience implementing MDM solutions (Informatica MDM SaaS preferred), including platform configuration, match/merge logic, and data stewardship.
- Proficiency in designing, building, and securing API integrations between MDM and enterprise or customer-facing systems (POS, mobile apps, web platforms).
- Strong skills in data modeling, data quality design, and metadata management.
- Cloud platform experience a plus, especially with Snowflake and Azure Data Lake, including ingestion and transformation pipelines.
- Strong SQL and scripting skills, plus experience with Python, APIs, and integration tools.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical stakeholders.
- A collaborative, action-oriented approach with a passion for building scalable solutions from the ground up.
