The Data Integration Developer is responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance of data management solutions at Great Clips, Inc. They are self-motivated and highly collaborative with their team and across the organization. This role is responsible for managing all software artifacts produced. They will ensure software adheres to our best practices and standards, guarantee high quality data is available in a timely manner and secure, while delivering a positive end-user experience. 

Your Mission

This exciting new role has been created to support our commitment to data at Great Clips, Inc.  Your mission is to help us grow our data management practice by designing, building, testing, and supporting the movement and storage of data in support of all our business needs.  On your journey, you will face interesting challenges such as:

  • Contribute to Data Warehouse Architecture and ETL design
  • Design, build, test, and maintain ETL processes
  • Leverage SaaS and PaaS data management solutions
  • Comply with development standards and best practices
  • Collect and leverage any additional reusable components during a deployment
  • Perform development and unit testing
  • Build and support relational and dimensional database models
  • Schedule jobs and implement monitoring tools
  • Conduct root cause analysis and performance tuning for complex business processes and functionality
  • Interact with IT and business users across the organization to resolve issues and provide solutions in a timely manner
  • Update/Create and centralize key Data Management Policies / frame works, as needed
  • Offer expertise on selecting and implementing strategic tools to support the orchestration of Data Management activities
  • Support existing and future products created by you and/or your team.
  • Requires the ability to listen, earn trust, and accept direct feedback while building strong, positive relationships.

Your Expertise

This position is a great opportunity if you are excited about data and using it to make a difference at an organization.  To land this job you will need to have experience or demonstrate knowledge with the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Snowflake or other data warehouse platforms
  • Azure Data Lake
  • Azure Event Grid or other Pub/Sub message distribution services
  • Azure Synapse Analytics
  • SSIS
  • Customer MDM Informatica Cloud is a plus
  • Relational and dimensional data modeling
  • Change Data Capture (CDC) technology
  • SQL scripting languages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate across various levels of stakeholders.
  • Be self-motivated, pro-active, and open to tasks outside normal responsibilities.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PPT, Excel)
  • Be proficient with data analysis and testing.
  • Understanding of data management techniques and best practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Your Work Environment

Our corporate headquarters are in Bloomington, MN. This is a hybrid position requiring in-office workdays twice weekly, including every Wednesday and another day of your choice (Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday). The remainder of the week can be worked remotely with reliable, secure internet. Our office has lots of natural light, hydraulic desks for standing or sitting and many other amenities, so we are sure you will enjoy your office time as much as working remotely.

Travel requirement: 5%
