This position will learn, manage, and own key processes within the department. Your Mission

  On your journey, you will face challenges such as:

  • Become the subject matter expert and have accountability for the operations of the Great Clips gift card program including owning the relationship with the Gift Card vendor, SVS. 
  • This position will allow you to communicate and work directly with our franchisee community, becoming a trusted resource to them and the team. You will assist franchisees with set-up, questions, and issues related to the program. Provide back-end support for gift card adjustments or replacements.  
  • Maintain accurate franchisee records within our vendor systems. Perform accounting journal entries and provide analysis related to gift card sales and redemptions, assist in fraud protection measures, and aid in policy and procedures.   
  • Be a key contributor in the Fixed Assets function for GCI’s corporate results using the Sage Fixed Asset System to ensure accurate recording of assets, assets in process, and depreciation for internal and tax books. Prepare schedules, reports, and general ledger entries related to monthly depreciation, disposals, and like-kind exchanges.
  • Assist in programs including, but not limited to, the PCI Compliance program, our in-salon payments solutions program, and work directly with vendors and franchisees on set up, questions, issues, and analysis and reporting related to these and other programs.
  • Demonstrate an ability to listen, earn trust, and accept direct feedback from franchisees while building strong, positive relationships.

Your Expertise

  • Minimum of a 2-year degree in accounting or finance
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the company, including presenting in small groups and leading effective one-to-one communications.
  • Experience using a financial general ledger ERP system and application software including Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of various types of accounts and accounting entries. Ability to post, verify and balance debit and credit entries, reconcile accounts, prepare journal entries, maintain journals and ledgers.
  • Organizational skills, such as the ability to categorize, sort, and utilize information and/or materials in a meaningful, efficient, and logical manner.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to take initiative and to follow through with appropriate action. 
  • Skill to perform arithmetic equations of moderate difficulty such as decimals, fractions, and ratios in accounting applications.

Your Work Environment

This is a hybrid position requiring in-office workdays twice weekly, including every Wednesday and another day of your choice (Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday). The remainder of the week can be worked remotely with reliable, secure internet.
