Opportunity
The Data Integration Developer is responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance of data management solutions at Great Clips, Inc. They are self-motivated and highly collaborative with their team and across the organization. This role is responsible for managing all data pipeline and data warehouse artifacts produced. They will ensure all development adheres to our best practices and standards, guarantee high quality data is available in a timely manner and secure, while delivering a positive end-user experience.
Your Mission
This exciting new role has been created to support our commitment to data at Great Clips, Inc. Your mission is to help us grow our data management practice by designing, building, testing, and supporting the movement and storage of data in support of all our business needs. On your journey, you will face interesting challenges such as:
- Contribute to Data Warehouse maintenance and growth
- Design, build, test, and maintain ETL processes
- Leverage SaaS and PaaS data management solutions
- Comply with development standards and best practices
- Develop standardized patterns for data pipelines based on best practices
- Perform development and unit testing
- Schedule jobs and implement monitoring tools
- Conduct root cause failure analysis and performance tuning for data pipelines
- Interact with IT and business users across the organization to resolve issues and provide solutions in a timely manner
- Update/Create stories and tasks in our development process
- Offer expertise on selecting and implementing various tools and processes to support the orchestration of Data Management activities
- Support existing and future products created by you and/or your team.
- Ability to listen, earn trust, and accept direct feedback while building strong, positive relationships.
Your Expertise
This position is a great opportunity if you are excited about data and using it to make a difference at an organization. To land this job you will need to have experience or demonstrate knowledge with the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Snowflake experience preferred
- Data warehouse development experience with ETL or ELT
- Data lake experience in either Azure or AWS is preferred
- Azure Synapse experience is a plus
- Relational and dimensional data modeling
- Change Data Capture (CDC) technology experience is a plus
- SQL scripting languages. Python is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate across various levels of stakeholders.
- Be self-motivated, pro-active, and open to tasks outside normal responsibilities.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PPT, Excel)
- Be proficient with data analysis and testing.
- Understanding of data management techniques and best practices
- Strong interpersonal skills, with experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Experience in agile development a plus
- Highly self-motivated and directed
- Experience with LLM’s and Snowflake Cortex a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Your Work Environment
This is a hybrid work position requiring a combination of in-office workdays and the option to work from home on the remaining days. Working remotely will require reliable, secure internet.
