Giving Educators a VIP Experience
Every two years, Great Clips® franchisees, salon stylists and salon managers gather in Minneapolis for the Great Clips Convention—an event focused on mastering next-level skills, identifying exciting and ambitious goals, and accelerating professional growth. For the fall 2024 Convention, Great Clips also invited 50 educators from all over North America as special guests, demonstrating the GREAT respect the company has for those who are training the next generation of stylists and barbers.
Best in class training and hospitality
At Convention, educator guests were treated to powerful presentations from the Great Clips National Design Team and haircutting demos with live models. They also received a swag bag overflowing with products from Salon Innovations and fun networking opportunities, including a cocktail reception with Great Clips CEO Steve Hockett.
Cosmetology industry superstar Tyler Kelbert (@Tyler_Kelbert) led a special session that included live demonstrations on choosing the right tools for specific haircuts and styles. The session also included interactive games with over $1,000 in prize giveaways. An educator session with Colleen Camp, Director of Education for Bosley MD, was also hosted that provided the latest research on hair loss and the science behind the Bosley MD products and formulations that address the condition.
As Great Clips Chief Operations Officer Yvonne Mercer shared in her presentation, “Great Clips strives to build strong, supportive relationships with the cosmetology and barbering community, and aims to be a resource for the valued educators who are transforming students at all stages into talented cosmetology professionals.”
