Why Did You Become a Stylist?

What motivated you to become a barber or stylist? What’s the reason you made this profession your career?

It seems like such a simple question, but pinpointing your why can be very challenging. If you’re having trouble, think about your passions, your strengths, your values, and your biggest drivers. What have been your most rewarding accomplishments? What would your co-workers say that you do well?

Knowing your “why” is important because it will be your north star throughout your professional life. It will get you through the tough days and help guide you when you need to make big decisions or even job changes. Some of you reading this may have even made a job change that led you outside of the hair industry, but you miss it. You miss getting to make people feel great and show off your talented skills. That’s your passion knocking. It’s never too late to tap back into your passion, even if you’ve taken a detour.

If you’ve previously worked for a Great Clips® salon, or you are new and curious, we invite you to search for openings near you.
