The Data System Administrator II will play a pivotal role within our dynamic IT team, partnering closely with vendors and key business stakeholders. You will partner on efforts to architect, build, and optimize solutions that ensure the seamless integration of high-quality data into our enterprise data management systems. From inception to execution, you will collaborate on all aspects of data manipulation, storage, and the development of robust data quality (DQ) rules, while upholding stringent data governance standards and industry-best data management practices. This role is instrumental in spearheading the implementation and ongoing enhancement of our cutting-edge Master Data Management (MDM) solution, making significant contributions to the organization's data strategy and operational excellence.
Your Mission
Embrace the role of system administrator for Informatica MDM SaaS, with an exciting opportunity to expand into supporting Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, and other essential data management tools. As a technical liaison, you will engage with vendors, harnessing their support to elevate your expertise and drive impactful solutions.
- Design, innovate, and execute MDM solutions and workflows that uphold data accuracy and uniformity.
- Foster productive partnerships with stakeholders to grasp comprehensive data requirements and refine business rules governing master data elements.
- Establish and enforce data quality protocols and practices, preemptively identifying and resolving data discrepancies.
- Cultivate and maintain data models and schemas for master data entities, ensuring robust organizational data architecture.
- Conduct data profiling and analysis to pinpoint and propose enhancements for data quality, driving continuous improvement.
- Engineer and refine data integration processes and workflows, bolstering support for strategic master data management initiatives.
- Champion data governance efforts, actively contributing to governance forums and ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
- Introduce and optimize data stewardship workflows, orchestrating the lifecycle of master data updates and changes.
- Provide adept technical guidance and support to end-users on master data management tools and processes, ensuring seamless adoption.
- Demonstrate exceptional listening skills, foster trust, and embrace constructive feedback from franchisees, nurturing strong, collaborative relationships.
Your Expertise
The ideal candidate will have experience with data management tools, understand the importance of proper data management to an organization, be able to apply logic and strong problem-solving skills to data quality rules development, and will communicate and work well with technical and non-technical staff. In addition, to land this job you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years in IT positions with a focus on data and data systems; MDM platform experience preferred.
- Expertise to analyze and solve problems, think outside of the box, and grasp technical concepts
- Proven ability to combine information or data to find relationships among seemingly unrelated events
- Motivated self-starter, able to deliver on results
- Ability to diagnose when a system or environment has a problem, issue or fault and resolve
- Ability to create, read, analyze, and interpret technical diagrams and written procedures
- Strong team player who can work across multiple functions
- Commitment to research and ongoing learning, detail oriented
- Moderate proficiency with any combination of SQL, Python, or APIs is preferred
Your Work Environment
Our corporate headquarters are in Bloomington, MN. This is a hybrid position requiring in-office workdays twice weekly, including every Wednesday and another day of your choice (Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday). The remainder of the week can be worked remotely with reliable, secure internet. Our office has lots of natural light, hydraulic desks for standing or sitting and many other amenities, so we are sure you will enjoy your office time as much as working remotely.
