The Opportunity

The Marketing Analytics & Personalization Manager is responsible for delivering insights and recommending action based on consumer research and marketing analytics initiatives. This is a highly cross functional role requiring both strategic and tactical execution along with strong program management skills. This position requires someone who is curious and has exceptional problem-solving skills and an ability to work closely with marketing and technical stakeholders. We are seeking a growth driver who has a passion for analytics to enable personalization across channels and converting results into actionable objectives.

Key Objectives

Analytics and Customer Insights

oDevelop, analyze and provide customer-centric, actionable insights to the enterprise, with a 360 view of the customer to support and drive change

oWorking with your marketing and communications team partners, identify and produce regular KPIs and ad hoc analytics to improve the effectiveness of our advertising, promotions and channel performance

oCollect data and reporting from marketing vendors and systems; develop summarized reporting and analyze key metrics to determine marketing effectiveness and opportunities

oIncrease the overall effectiveness of marketing strategies, plans and tactics by providing data and insights that support the personalization of messaging and offers to our customers

oHelp support both primary research and testing initiatives, along with leveraging syndicated research and data to synthesize opportunities and set benchmarks


oEvaluate incremental contribution to the bottom line for creative and media channels through analyzing a combination of media mix modeling, attribution modeling and test and learn opportunities

oDevelop the data strategy to support customer journeys that enable optimization of multi-touch marketing programs across all forms of media (digital, social, direct, etc.). Manage the end-to-end testing process for high priority use cases, including hypothesis development, KPI selection, A/B measurement and reporting

Personalization Operations

oSupport and scale personalization opportunities across all channels using both rules and data science approaches to match customers and offers

oWork collaboratively with IT, Business Intelligence, Digital, Marketing and Communications business partners on building and enhancing the personalized marketing operational processes and technical back bone

oPartner with Business Intelligence, IT and vendors to ensure marketing vendors have access to data that will allow for personalization of targeted messages.

Customer Data and Workflow Management

oPartner with IT and Business Intelligence teams to shape the customer data roadmap and enhancements

oMaintain a deep understanding of the customer data structure and location of various data sources

oWorking with IT, ensure the customer data remains clean – highlight any discrepancies and escalate required changes needing IT support and remediation

oBe vigilant and a leader for customer data privacy, participating in the strategy and execution of data privacy protocols and tools

Skills and Qualifications

Highly curious, analytical person, fascinated by marketing and consumer behavior, with a desire to understand why. Ability to make data digestible for right brain people. Very proactive, organized, with strong attention to detail, and a self-starter; capable of effectively managing several priorities at the same time.

Experience in uncovering data driven insights to build customer & digital experiences.

Ability to analyze data and synthesize complex ideas, extract the significant nuggets of information, and develop reports and presentations to communicate the findings.

Experience using PowerBI and MS Office tools is essential and programming languages such as SAS, SQL, R or Python is a plus.

Proficient in analyzing multiple data sources, especially consumer trends and insights, to draw strong conclusions.

Solid understanding of digital marketing strategy and the practice of leveraging data for personalization; channels include programmatic, social media, email, SEM/SEO, email, app and website.

Experience in customer data management leveraging CRM platforms, marketing automation systems and digital marketing platforms.

Experience handling sensitive customer data using privacy and security standards and processes.

Ability and willingness to learn new software such as our CRM system and other marketing technology solutions.

Experience working with cross-functional teams across marketing, operations and technology

Strong ability to create, build and leverage relationships and effectively interface with executive-level team members and at the same time have willingness to roll up the sleeves to solve problems.

Bachelor's degree (Data/AnMIS, Statistics, Computer Science, Marketing, Business Operations or Business).

7-10 years of experience in marketing analysis, reporting, data quality and contact management.

Franchisee and retail brand experience is preferred.

Your Work Environment

Our corporate headquarters are located in Bloomington, MN. Our approach to work environment focuses on the balance between teamwork and flexibility which means that you will spend three days of your week at the office and have the option to work two days a week remotely. Our office has lots of natural light, hydraulic desks for standing or sitting and many other amenities so we are sure you will enjoy your time here as well as the flexibility to work remotely. Your position will require occasional travel (10-15%) out to markets across the country. Travel could be multi-day depending on scheduled meetings.
