Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Great Clips is all about making people’s day – whether that be through their haircut experience or through an experience with one of our digital technologies. As part of the talented and driven team that delivers these digital technologies, the IT Governance Manager primarily will manage the architecture roadmap, defined in partnership with IT and business groups. The IT Governance Manager is a strategic thinker who understands business and technology and advocates for technical solutions that align with the company’s mission, vision, and goals.

Your Mission

As the IT Governance Manager, you will ensure our architecture roadmap aligns with the business objectives of Great Clips, Inc., and play a key role in providing industry leading solutions to employees, franchisees, salons and customers. On your journey, you will face challenges like:

Defining and implementing enterprise architecture policies, standards, and procedures to achieve consistent adoption of enterprise architecture best practices

Participating in development of multi-year strategies and implementation of architecture roadmaps across the enterprise.

Collaborating with IT partners to ensure all solutions adhere to the defined guiding principles and multi-year architecture roadmaps.

Overseeing the change management process and managing the enterprise architecture document repository.

Monitoring technology and market trends to plan and prepare for potential impact to the architecture roadmap.

Consulting with solutions delivery, infrastructure, and business intelligence teams to align project outcomes with architecture roadmap

Measuring and communicating the impact of the enterprise architecture governance function.

Your Expertise

To land this job you will need a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and/or seven to ten years combined experience in two or more IT disciplines (e.g., technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations. You will also need to show your proven ability to:

Build relationships, promote teamwork, lead engaging and productive meetings, and influence decisions.

Explain your ideas and enterprise architecture principles in a way that successfully motivates and convinces stakeholders

Understand business and the role of technology in driving change and growth

Communicate clearly both in writing and verbally, in situations ranging from one-on-one to large audiences.

Plan, organize and manage projects.

Design new and re-engineer existing processes to drive efficiency and results.

Drive short-term actions to help achieve long-term goals.

Leverage your broad technical knowledge in networking, applications, databases, and analysis to contribute to the delivery of amazing solutions.

Understand and use architecture models, frameworks, and artifacts.

Assimilate new information quickly and apply learnings proactively to the needs of Great Clips.

Your Work Environment

This position will reside within a corporate office environment that allows for you to “dress for your day”. There will be minimal travel, 1-2 trips/year that will last for 2-3 days each.
